NEXT EVENT -
to be scheduled:

Approximately 20% of adults and 30% of younger Americans describe themselves as non-religious. That’s about 50 million adults who have a humanist orientation to life.

Humanism is a rational, human-centered philosophy, that endorses the values of science, honesty, compassion, individual freedom, equality, and separation of church and state. Humanists believe that we have the capacity to live fulfilling lives without reference to supernatural beings or religion.

Humanists of the Treasure Coast provides secular individuals and families with a supportive community via social gatherings, discussions, weddings, child welcoming ceremonies, transitions to adulthood, parenting support, memorial services and information about secular self help groups

We also help non-religious adults and young people to express their humanist values by encouraging social action and community involvement for the benefit of country and humankind.

We support our secular, constitutional republic and the democratic process. We advocate humanist representation at military and civilian health care facilities and military bases.

We support nurturing our environment as well as the humans and animals who share our planet.

We believe that humanity evolved from more primitive life forms and do not find sufficient evidence to support a belief in the supernatural or an afterlife.

Being a non-religious individual or family in America requires courage and determination. The threat of discrimination has kept many of us in the closet without access to a supportive community. The time to come out of the closet is now, Humanists of the Treasure Coast is here to support you in that transition.
